How I try to make this website usable for everyone, and how to reach me if something gets in your way.

01The goal

What I aim for.

I want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text. I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

The site has not had a formal accessibility audit. I believe it partially meets that standard, and I will keep improving it.

02What is in place

What has been built in.

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are.
  • Text is set in readable sizes and can be zoomed without breaking the layout.
  • Colour contrast has been chosen with readability in mind.
  • Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animation is reduced or switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Headings follow a logical order so pages can be navigated by structure.
03Third-party tools

Parts I do not fully control.

Some features on this site are provided by other companies: the booking calendar, the contact form, the privacy policy and terms, and the separate mortgage application platform. I choose these tools carefully, but I cannot fully control how accessible they are.

If any of them gets in your way, you never have to use them. Text, call or email me instead, and I will help you directly.
